Boots-Haus am Dieksee in Bad Malente

A beautiful place in Malente. Good food, wide selection. My favorite: Schnitzel Holstein. But also for sitting comfortably. Directly on or above the lake. In winter there is a fireplace, punch and curling rink (unfortunately only for groups). Hopefully they'll open again soon (as of 11:20 am).

Unfortunately, an extremely bad example of irresponsibility in the Corona time towards the guests and other restaurateurs who now have to suffer from such negligent operators in my opinion. During our fortunately only brief presence, all servants worked without masks. The food made the taste impression of finished products although it was definitely not cheap in terms of price. It's a shame, but currently not recommended!

Very nice restaurant located on the lake, unfortunately we had bad weather, so we purposefully went to the nicely heated pavilion. The menu is extensive and regional. Price-performance is right. It is recommended as the food and drinks were tasty. Here is an interesting form of Labkaus. Was delicious.

Today we went to the boathouse at Dieksee to drink coffee. We generally liked the location and the staff. However, we ask ourselves why the customer has to disinfect his hands at the entrance and wear a face mask, but the staff does not wear any mask when operating.

Wonderful view of the Dieksee. Great selection of hearty dishes. Price / offer: Very good. Very friendly service staff. Beautiful location and the sunsets are awesome.

Great view right on the lake, large panorama windows there. Enough space to other tables, heated in the evening (wooden structure with Plexiglas windows, roof partly open ...) Ceilings are ready, radiant heaters are there ... Friendly, small menu, with manageable partly local dishes. DELICIOUS and you will be full. Price / performance is right. "Quaint cozy" TIP !

I am absolutely thrilled with this restaurant and can only 100% recommend it. The location alone would be worth a visit, but we were just completely convinced. The staff was super friendly and incredibly quick (we had our drinks about 1 minute after we ordered) and I really liked the food! So thumbs up and keep it up :-)

We are allowed to enjoy the delicious dishes for 1 week. The staff is great and also fulfills requests that are not on the menu. Hygiene comes first, during this time you feel that you are in good hands. Thank you for the nice evening.

For our wedding on September 4th, 2020, I had reserved a table with the request to prepare it nicely as a surprise for my future husband. Unfortunately we were not welcomed in a friendly way, nor was there a suitable reserved table for us. We were allowed to sit at any table. Neither covered nor flower nor candle. Really disappointing. The drinks waiter could hardly make a "please". The food was good. But when I complained about the reservation, the only answer was: "I wrote it down specially." There was neither a reasonable apology nor a "goodbye". This ambience could hardly have been worse in any snack bar. We will delete this part of our special day from our memory and will not visit this place again in the future, let alone recommend it to others. A not very friendly greeting from East Frisia

We stayed here after our hike. You can sit very nicely by the water here. You have a great view of the lake. The menu is plentiful and everyone should find something. The fish is of course highly recommended. My boathouse style panfish was wonderful. The service is very attentive and very friendly. The flowers on the table are real and very beautiful. We would love to come back.

We hadn't made a reservation, but got a seat. The plaice fillet tasted excellent, there is also a small portion, which I think is very good. Then vanilla ice cream with fresh blueberries and whipped cream, which was delicious too. Friendly service So far, very recommendable.

I can only recommend this restaurant to everyone. It's nice and cozy there with wonderful food and excellent staff and the price-performance ratio is also right. Next time we are here we will definitely go there again. 👍🏻

This place is not worth it. The staff is friendly and the view is nice but the food is terrible. You get a super greasy fish with absolutely no taste. Yet another tourist trap that has nothing to do with fresh fish.

Today on Tuesday there were more ducks than guests on the promenade to the boathouse at Dieksee. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the prices and the ambience is more than ok. Since we only had ice cream here in the afternoon, I cannot report on the dishes on offer. However, I can recommend the place as such.

Probably one of the nicest restaurants in town . total vacation feeling when you sit in front of the water watching the sunset whilst eating yummy local food.

The waiter was unfriendly. I asked for sautéed potatoes without bacon and he refused to serve them like that. They don't cater for vegetarians or vegans and they don't even care.
